The Pasture Tender Origin Story (Part 4/9)
Our Story (Part 4 of 9)
“The beginnings of a revolutionary invention”
Roni went from being the happiest girl in the world to desperation after no more than two or three weeks.
She was poo picking with a pitchfork and wheel barrow and it was hard labor.
She went to dad exhausted. He took her out to the horse community and they came back with many of the processes we horse owners have been using for a long time. Harrow, Chain Link fence with center blocks, tires, and one or two different drags.
They tried many of them but dad recognized that each process was counter productive in that none of them cleanly removed the manure. They also did damage to pasture greens in dragging and when spreading manure for fertilizing they either smeared or left clumps of manure on top of a lot of the greens.
After spending thousands of dollars and a lot of labor in building the soil and pasture, dad was not willing to continue using them and settle for these poor outcomes.
